Hey Hey Hey HaNegev!

For those who don’t know me, my name is Schmooze Lips and I am the mascot for the wonderful sub-region of Mercaz. I was born about 20 years ago, as a way for the chapters in Mercaz to be awarded for their pure amazement throughout the year! Many of you might be wondering why I am shaped like a lip, and not a person or object like the other sub-regions in HaNegev. My body shaped like lips, represents my love Mercaz as a whole including every single chapter from Rodeph in Tampa, to GUSY in Gainesville. I travel to a different chapter each year, and am currently residing in SPUSY with all of those St.Pete kids. The way that chapters can “win me” at the end of each year is by participating in sub-regional activities such as talent competitions, Tikkun Olam coin challenges, and conduct at conventions. My colorful teeth with different chapters’ names on them show a history of which chapters’ have won me over the past few years. The next time I am around, be sure to check out my colorful grills =].

I have a feeling that you will be seeing a lot of me this year, so keep your eyes open and don’t hesitate to wrap your arms around me and give me a hug!
