8th grade “Gesher” Regional Convention (March 5 - 7, 2009)
Gesher Convention is a convention just for 8th graders! “Gesher” is Hebrew for Bridge, so Gesher Convention is your Bridge to USY. At Gesher Convention, you will learn all about USY and get pumped for the next 4 years in USY. As your time in Kadima draws to an end, Gesher will kick off the best 4 years of your life in USY! As you meet other 8th graders from all over HaNegev and learn all about the next 4 years in your Jewish lives, you will make friendships and memories that will last forever. Save the date: Gesher Convention will be held from March 5 - 7, 2010. These 3 days will be the best 3 days of your life, so don’t miss it. Check back for more information as the date gets closer.

A Summertime Adventure for 8th Graders
USY on Wheels, East will cover the East coast of the United States and Canada on an incredible four week adventure in Summer 2008.
Open to current 8th graders, highlights of the program include:
Toronto, New England, Cape Cod, Disney World, Washington, D.C., Savannah, Ga., Philadelphia, Kennedy Space Center, Touro Synagogue, Hockey Hall of Fame, Quincy Market, Howe Caverns, Virginia Beach, Norfolk Naval Base, Nashville Zoo, Great Lakes Science Center, and more (subject to change)
